Volunteer efforts are instrumental to our daily operations - from serving meals, helping manage supplies and shelter cleanliness, to extended ministry efforts with our Lifeline and Spiritual Recovery programs.

TRINITY RESCUE MISSION VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

At Trinity Rescue Mission, we are committed to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for everyone. Our Volunteer Guidelines are in place to ensure the volunteer experience is smooth and effective for you, your group, our organization, and those it serves.

By submitting a Volunteer Application, you are agreeing to abide by these guidelines.

  • Any adults wishing to volunteer must also complete a Volunteer Release Form. Download, print, complete this form and bring it with you when you come to volunteer.
  • Any children or youth volunteering must also complete a Volunteer Release Form for Minors. Download and print the form here.
  • All volunteers must be pre-approved and screened by our Volunteer Coordinator prior to service.

Trinity Rescue Mission staff cannot watch or be responsible for children as staff is involved in taking care of mission guests. Children and Youth must stay within designated service areas of campus, with adult supervision at all times. Youth 14 years old and older are allowed in the kitchen area, but only under the direct supervision of a parent or volunteer group leader. Children 13 years of age or younger can participate in meal service but cannot serve in the kitchen. Be respectful of those who are working, studying or sleeping; while inside please walk and talk softly. Wash hands frequently and wear gloves and hair coverings while handling food. Please bring a clean hat if serving food. Follow the instructions of staff members and your group leaders.

Keep track of all group members and/or children.

Make members of your group aware that they should not leave designated areas alone.

Let your group members know which bathrooms are available and use good communication when members step away from the volunteer area to the bathroom.

Communicate the importance of washing hands, wearing gloves and head coverings while handling any food.

Individual members of any volunteer groups should remain with the group at all times.

No one is to be alone with any person of the opposite gender.

Be respectful of others and do not tamper with others’ personal belongings.

Volunteers are assigned tasks and work areas based on the needs of our mission as well as general safety and must adhere to assignment instructions.

Abusive language, profanity, arguing and fighting are all strictly prohibited at Trinity Rescue Mission.

Drugs and alcohol are prohibited on the Trinity Rescue Mission campus.

For your safety and the safety of others, Horseplay is prohibited.

Please secure your valuables prior to coming if possible. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
