As an organization, Trinity Rescue Mission strives to better the community, and we are always trying to bring attention to those who have been mistreated. George Floyd’s death is a sobering reminder that we have a long way to go as a society. We are praying that justice for his death will be handled swiftly and adequately.
We appreciate and respect our law enforcement that serve sacrificially for others. However, we must stand united when we believe injustice is being carried out in our society. We teach everyone in our organization that all people are precious and made in the image of God, and we will continue to show equality and care by fighting for the most vulnerable in our community.
We are praying for those who are grieving. We weep with those who weep. And above all, we hope to show the world that each human life is equal and valuable in the eyes of our God. At Trinity Rescue Mission, we stand ready to come alongside anyone who walks through our door. Jesus was clear when he said in John 15:12: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
