F3 Donates and Installs New Cooking Fryer
Fried delicacies are back on the menu here at TRM, thanks to a generous donation from a local organization, F3. F3, which stands for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith, is a national network of men who get together in their communities in the wee hours of the morning to participate in peer-led outdoor exercise, encourage and build one another up, and give back to their communities.
Several men from the Jacksonville chapter of F3 are regular volunteers at TRM. Earlier this year, they approached both our staff and our male residents, with whom they have built relationships, and asked if there were any particular needs TRM had that they could fill. It just so happens that our kitchen staff’s fryer had been out of commission for quite some time. When the men from F3 caught wind of that, they jumped into action. They organized a fundraiser run that raised enough money to not only purchase a brand new fryer, but to have a local company come in, completely install it and get it in working order.
The fryer has been a tremendous asset to our staff and residents, coming in handy as we have continued to serve over 500 meals every day. We are grateful to F3 Jacksonville for their incredible generosity. Learn more about their organization at f3jax.com. Donations like these allow TRM to maximize its outreach and make a deep impact in our community.
