Freedom Farm

Freedom Farm Recovery Program

Christian-based addiction recovery program set on a peaceful working farm.

Trinity Rescue Mission's Freedom Farm is a one-of-a-kind place--- a real, working farm located in St. Johns County. In the peaceful and secure environment of Freedom Farm, men come face-to-face with the root causes of their addiction.

Our Freedom Farm graduates attest that a man can find lasting freedom when he deals with the self-destructive choices that caused addiction in the first place. The Freedom Farm Program teaches that the process starts with a Biblical and healthy perspective of one's identity in Jesus Christ.

In addition to receiving one-on-one counseling to help them work through the complex issues related to their addiction recovery, the Freedom Farm curriculum also includes:

Bible Study and Discipleship— Men discover self-worth and self-esteem from God's Word.

Relapse Prevention— Our relapse prevention module provides the tools to stay sober.

Accountability and Responsibility— The farm requires daily individual work, teamwork and personal responsibility and accountability for all individual and team obligations.

Post-graduation Opportunities — Farm program graduates receive support from Trinity Rescue Mission in securing housing and employment while transitioning back into the community.

Transitional Housing Program— Certain Freedom Farm graduates are eligible for Trinity Rescue Mission’s Transitional

The Housing Program is subject to space availability and completion of our Transitional Leadership Program.

The Freedom Farm program typically lasts 9 to 18 months for our men, but the length of time is dependent on the issues that each individual is working through.

At Trinity Rescue Mission, we are committed to helping these men gain freedom from all of the obstacles which brought them to mission front door.

At Freedom Farm, men are assigned specific responsibilities to help them learn life skills, leadership skills and team responsibilities.

Our men are held accountable as individuals and as a community, with each person having assigned responsibilities critical to the successful operation of the farm. Responsibilities include working with animals, tending to small crops or taking care of the property itself. Other responsibilities include housekeeping or food service. The Freedom Farm Program has 32 beds.

All Freedom Farm men must be tobacco free and complete the Lifeline Program at Trinity Rescue Mission prior to acceptance into the farm program.
